Higher Military Education Directorate (DESMIL)

 The DESMIL mission is to direct higher military education activities within the scope of DECEx (Army Department of Education and Culture).:

- The military education of combatant officers, the professionally qualified officer corps and medical corps, and the reserve officers and military chaplains;

- Improvement of officers from all military education lines; and

- The course of senior military studies for the officers of military education, medical corps and scientific-technological education.

Army Department of Education and Culture (DECEx)

   Among the various actions conducted by DECEx, we can highlight:

 - the studies for the integration of military woman by 2017 in combat education;

- The Fire Support System (SAFO), which consists of a computerized advanced campaign shooting simulator based on Brazilian doctrine; and

.- The teaching by competencies that consists in aligning professional military education with the modern concepts of learning based on our traditions and values.
