Technical Education Section (STE)

The Technical Education Section’s principal functions are the planning, orientation and coordination of the General Educational Plan (PGE). It is also responsible for supervising the execution and improvement of the teaching-learning process, to participate in the evaluation of the cognitive and attitudinal areas, and to manage the exoneration, renewal and appointment of instructors. The section also advises the chief of the Education Division in the recommendation of instructors for domestic and foreign courses.

 
Mission

  • to plan, organize, supervise, control, coordinate and monitor the activities related to teaching and learning in the scope of the Higher Military Studies Course (CAEM);
  • to coordinate the cleaning, control, distribution and storage of training aids and facilities for teaching; and
  • to lead the Army Politics, Strategy and Higher Administration Course (CPEAEx) to include the planning of course activities.

Learning Assessment Sub-section

Mission

  • to plan, organize, lead and coordinate activities related to the preparation, application and correction of learning assessment tools in the cognitive area, in accordance with the Learning Assessment Plan;
  • to develop and keep the Internal Standards for Learning Assessment (NIAA) up to date
  • to annually prepare and propose the Learning Assessment Plan to the STE chief; and
  • Organize and coordinate the process of indentifying the highlights of the courses.


Planning Sub-section

Mission

  • to plan the calendar of the School's courses for year A + 1, proposing the start and end dates of the school year;
  • to plan the school year and supervise the planning of the CPEAEx and CPS;
  • to conduct studies to establish short (A + 1 and A + 2) and medium term (A + 5) goals for teaching;
  • to adjust curriculum and discipline plans, according to established goals; and
  • to propose measures to optimize the targets set for year A + 2.


Coordination and Survey Subsection

Mission

  • to plan, process and analyze the survey and the pedagogical studies of the courses ; and
  • to coordinate and monitor the implementation of the school year.


Normative and Personnel Sub-section


Mission


  • to plan external and internal correspondence related to teaching matters, as well as proposals for the renewal procedure of instructors;
  • to prepare and keep the School Internal Regulations updated;
  • to maintain contact of the school's Alumni;
  • to manage the diplomas of the graduates of the courses of the School, registering them according to current legislation.


Auxiliary Subsection

Mission

  • to develop, under the supervision of the Coordination and Survey Subsection, the Biweekly Working Framework;
  • to consolidate requests for instruction support, distribute teaching aids, classrooms and auditoriums;
  • to organize the classrooms and the auditoriums and provide the teaching aids according to what has been planned;
  • to provide the sound system and operators for meetings and formations;
  • to ensure the cleaning and good condition of classrooms and auditoriums; and
  • to store and ensure of the proper functioning of teaching aids.
